ICHS Achievement awards

The International Immunocompromised Host Society has awarded, for the third time, a Lifetime Achievement award and a Young Investigator award two highly qualified ICHS members. The awards were presented during a special ceremony of the 22nd ICHS Symposium on Saturday, 10 September, 2022. Additionally, Awards were presented for Posters, Oral Presentations, Travel, and Attendance.

The awards were presented during a special ceremony of the 22nd ICHS Symposium on Saturday, 10 September, 2022. ICHS Poster Awards

All attendees of the ICHS Biennial Symposiums are eligible to submit abstracts representing their research or clinical experiences.  These abstracts are reviewed by the ICHS Abstract Review Committee, comprised of two or more ICHS International Council members.  Selected abstract presenters are invited to present their work in poster, or occasionally, oral format at the meeting.  These posters are judged by teams of two or three ICHS Council members.  Ten authors were chosen to participate in the Poster Walk and give a 5-7 minute oral summary of their research and three additional authors were chosen to present 15 minute oral presentations during the first Sunday morning Symposium.

ICHS Travel awards

In 2022, ICHS offered a limited number of travel grants to encourage trainees and young investigators, particularly, those from low or middle income (resource limited) countries, to attend our biennial symposiums. Up to twenty (20) Competitive Awards, as $500 travel grants and free registration for the meeting, were available in two categories: 1) trainees (students, residents, fellows) and 2) junior faculty [whose research was performed in the first three years following graduation].
